Get Involved

The City’s Traffic Safety Education Program is looking for volunteers - individuals, organizations, public agencies, schools, and companies to get involved and help kids learn how to be safer pedestrians and cyclists, as well as help adults make smarter choices on our roads. Parents, teachers, students and all community members—from health organizations and bicycle and pedestrian advocates to local police officers and business owners—can contribute to the success of creating a safer walking and driving environment. The Department of Transportation is looking for volunteers year-round to help with pedestrian safety assemblies, bicycle safety roadeos, helmet fitting, bicycle safety checks, and information booths at community events. If interested, please contact the Traffic Safety Education program at 408.975.3238.
